About Movie Clips Page (Please click this link)

Movie Clips can be saved for offline playing by right clicking your Mouse on the WHITE TEXT and selecting "SAVE".

When the Clips are running I would suggest double clicking on the screen to make them full size as that way is easier for viewing.

The Thumbs Below have re-worked and they now play smoother in a much larger size of 1024 pixels wide rather than my old 640 pixels, clicking on the orange text will make them play.

Boeing Dreamlifter

The Boeing Dreamlifter has made lots Fuel stops at Prestwick when it is flying back from Grottaglie in Italy to Charleston USA with Dreamliner parts and when the production rate of Boeing's new aircraft increases these Dreamlifters should be far more regular visitors here at Prestwick, at the moment they average about 1 visit per month.

When the Dreamlifter is due it usually shows on Flight Tracker with a Flight Time from Italy of 3 hours 15 minutes so giving plenty of warning for interested Photographers to get to Prestwick Airport in time.

Open Skies 757

A nice visitor to Prestwick during the Month of April was this Open Skies 757 that made a number of short visits for Crew Training and I was able to catch it on two occasions for photos and Camcorder action.

This is the new Business venture of British Airways that is now based at Brussels for their new route to New York and it operated a number of Training flights between Prestwick, Cardiff and Heathrow so a nice one to see as it will not be flying in the UK for the foreseeable future.

USAF Hercules (Clip 1)

I was here at Prestwick on this day for the visiting Antonov 22 and had the bonus of two USAF Hercules that had night stopped and departed during late morning about 30 minutes apart.

Winds here tend to be Westerly most of the time and it provides some extremely tricky crosswind conditions during Winter when the Gales are blowing.

USAF Hercules (Clip 2)

The second and Clip is of a USAF Hercules departing from Runway 31.

Antonov Design Bureau AN22

This was one not to be missed as the only Civil flying AN22 rarely visits Prestwick so it was an oppertunity to catch it on High Definition.

Unfortunately it departed from the far end on Runway 13 much to my dissapointment as the wind was favouring Runway 31 and I would have been able to record a lot more footage of it taxiing very close past me but it wasn't to be on this occasion.

I am hoping at some time in the future it will come through again and give me another chance for more extended footage of this very rare and special aircraft.

A Boeing Dreamlifter departing from Runway 13 during a sunny break in the clouds.

Boeing Dreamlifter (Clip 2)

Another visit from the Dreamlifter on a Fuel Stop and I walked further up to the top of the Mound for extra elevation as it landed on Runway 13, the weather conditions were better on this day too.

Omni International Dc10 (Clip 2)

In the second Clip I went to a spot that looks down the Runway for the other Omni Dc10's landing and as it was reaching the end of the Runway the first Omni DC10 was taxiing onto the Runway to park on the North side so I had both DC10's in shot.

Omni DC10 (Clip 1)

This turned out to be an excellent visit to Prestwick with the Boeing Dreamlifter coming through for a fuel stop and two Omni International DC10's here to bring home British Army Troops for Christmas.

A rain shower had came through the Field earlier on so when the DC10 applied reverse thrust it produced some fine water spray for the video.

Boeing Dreamlifter

One of Boeings Dreamlifters made a final visit of the year to Prestwick and fortunately it was a nice sunny Winters day so I took the oppertunity for some footage of it landing on Runway 13.

Oasis Hong Kong 747

This Oasis Hong Kong 747 flew up from Gatwick for some Crew Training here at Prestwick and although it was Planned in and out for 3 hours it only did about 45 minutes in the circuit so I was caught out on it and didn't get to some of the other spots I had in mind for more footage.

Since I shot this the Airline went into Bankruptcy which was a shame as it did make occasionals visits to Prestwick for Training and brightened up the days it was here in the circuit.

Evergreen 747

Two Clips of the Evergreen Supertanker landing at Prestwick in fading Winter light and taxiing to Stand for a fuel, this aircraft has visited lots of time on US Military "Reach" flights during the past couple of years.

Volga Dnepr AN124

This Clip is of the Volga Dnepr AN124 taxiing from the North side and departing from Runway 13 in fading light on an overcast Winters day.

Aerovis Antonov 12

I heard on my Scanner that an Antonov 12 was due so made my way to this spot to Camcorder it arriving as I was looking for the typical AN12 nose down approach which should look quite good from head on.

Another appeal from here was the long smoke trails this aircraft makes and sure enough from about 6 Miles out it left long smokey lines in the sky.
