D-AVYG A319 Frontier (Finkenwerder 30-9-03).
The Delivery Center is on the opposite side of the raised grass bank here so traffic has to be stopped and the barriers come down to allow aircraft to move to either side of the field.
A local told us that this Frontier A319 is not due to be delivered until December 2003 and as with all long staying aircraft every two weeks they get a 20 minute taxi and engine test onto the runway so we were lucky to be there on it's fortnightly maintenance startup.
